![]() Ferrari sprayed a flexible material on the front and rear under trays to help prevent damage from stones and road debris. It was then painted over with satin black. The application seemed fairly consistent as to location throughout the production run. It began at one fender opening and went across to the other side fender opening, approximately 8 1/2 inches below the lower edge of the front side marker lights and 4 1/2 inches below the lower lip of the grill opening. Most restorers use SEM Chip Guard, or Wurth Sprayable Seam Sealer (spray gun at a fine setting), and allow it to cure before painting satin black.
