The right hammer is the "1000 gram" lead hammer. The heads appearing to have always been painted yellow, while the steel handles were all grey, or all blue, or a combination of the two. You can find reproductions of this hammer. The left hammer is typically called the “500 gram” hammer as it has a 500 stamped in the head. This is seen in the next illustration. The head is painted black. Reproductions of this hammer are available as well.
